Who this is for

Payment institutions, remittance houses, and digital wallet operators who need an independent look at how money moves from customer instruction to final settlement. Typical sponsors are heads of operations, CFOs, or compliance leads preparing for investor diligence or an FSC inspection window.

Result you receive

A management letter describing control design and operating effectiveness for the period under review, a control matrix mapped to your product corridors, and a prioritized remediation map with owners and suggested timelines. We do not issue a public seal or substitute for your statutory auditor.

Scope included

  • Walkthroughs of authorization rules, maker-checker paths, and limit overrides
  • Sample testing of settlement batches against bank nostro and partner statements
  • Review of reconciling break aging and escalation thresholds
  • Examination of merchant or partner onboarding files tied to active corridors
  • Close-out findings call with your control owners before the letter is finalized

Scope excluded

  • Penetration testing or source-code review
  • Statutory financial statement audit opinions
  • Continuous monitoring retainers (available as a separate follow-on only after remediation)

Provider & delivery

Engagements are led by a principal auditor from our Penghu office, with a second reviewer on findings. Fieldwork mixes remote evidence review with on-site days in Taipei or at your operations floor when ledgers and people are co-located.

Process & timeline

  1. Week 0 — Scoped proposal and evidence request list
  2. Weeks 1–2 — Walkthroughs and sample selection
  3. Weeks 3–4 — Testing, break analysis, draft findings
  4. Week 5 — Management letter and remediation map

Shorter books of business may compress to three weeks; multi-corridor wallets often need the full five.

Preparation

Provide product inventory by corridor, settlement calendars, recent reconciling packs, exception logs, and access to the operations lead who clears breaks. We ask for read-only extracts rather than live system credentials whenever possible.

Constraints

We work in English-language working papers with Mandarin walkthrough support when needed. Peak FSC filing seasons may extend scheduling by two weeks.

Pricing basis

Quote-based from NT$280,000 for a single-corridor payment institution. Multi-product wallets and cross-border remittance houses are priced after the brief. See Fees for estimate factors.

Next step

Request an audit brief with your corridors, period under review, and any inspection date you are working toward.
