Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling
This policy applies to professional fintech audit engagements with Tech Security Flow. It does not cover physical goods, software subscriptions, or courses — we do not sell those.
Eligibility
Fees relate to reserved fieldwork windows and professional time. Refunds depend on when you cancel relative to the scheduled start and how much work has begun.
Deposit
A 30% deposit confirms your engagement window. The deposit is credited toward the final fee. It is refundable in full if we cancel the engagement for reasons within our control (for example, conflict of interest discovered after signing).
Cancellation by the client
- More than 14 days before fieldwork start: full refund of amounts paid, minus any non-refundable third-party costs we disclosed in writing (such as pre-booked travel inside Taiwan).
- 7–14 days before start: 50% of the deposit may be retained for reserved calendar time; remaining amounts paid are refunded.
- Fewer than 7 days before start, or after fieldwork begins: deposit is non-refundable. Fees for work already performed (walkthroughs, sampling, drafting) are payable on a time basis up to the capped engagement fee; unused balance of prepayments may be refunded.
Rescheduling
You may request one reschedule at no charge if notice arrives at least 10 days before the start date and a new window within 90 days is agreed. Later reschedules may incur a rescheduling fee of up to 15% of the engagement fee to cover re-planning.
No-shows
If control owners fail to attend agreed walkthroughs without 24 hours’ notice, we may charge for the reserved day and extend the timeline. Repeated no-shows may lead us to terminate the engagement; fees for work completed remain due.
Work already started
Once evidence review or fieldwork has started, partial refunds cover only the unused portion of the fee after deducting time spent at the rates implied by the engagement letter. Draft findings already shared remain subject to our confidentiality terms.
Purchased materials
We rarely purchase third-party materials for engagements. If specialized extracts or room rentals were bought with your written approval, those costs are non-refundable once incurred.
Refund process & timing
Email hello@techsecurityflow.digital with your engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank transfer fees charged by your institution are outside our control.
Exceptions
If we materially breach the engagement letter, you may be entitled to a fuller refund of fees for undelivered work. Statutory rights under Taiwan law that cannot be waived remain available.
